Deutsch/NY: Information Architect

At Deutsch, the Information Architect creates branded, interactive user experiences such as websites, games, and applications for clients across a variety of verticals. This position is mid-level: the ideal information architect candidate will have 3+ years comparable experience working as a user experience planner/interaction designer/usability specialist in a professional work environment. Ad agency experience is a plus but not necessary; comparable industries include design, technology, and new media. The Information Architect will report to the Group Creative Director/Director of Information Architecture.

Key Responsibilities Include:
define and lead the strategic and creative vision for interactive user experiences
own the information architecture, navigation, interaction, and user experience
create site/content architecture maps and user flow diagrams
create detailed wireframes and specifications that describe page-specific navigation, content, and functionality
research and qualify user needs, business goals, and requirements
coordinate with the art director, technical director, and account manager to inform visual design and facilitate build.

Required Skill set and Experience:
3+ years experience developing branded user experiences like websites, games, microsites, and applications
extensive experience with site map, user flow diagrams, and schematic development
experience with usability testing and heuristic evaluation
experience defining and documenting Functional Requirements and Specifications
approaches projects creatively and strategically, considering the relationship between design and user experience
proficiency in software programs such as Visio, Photoshop, and Illustrator
excellent visual and verbal communication skills
a degree in a related field, such as design, human-computer interaction, interactive telecommunications, or new media
