The Opportunity
The Information Architect is a key member of the Creative Services team, which designs applications and promotions of all sizes for the rapidly-evolving Classmates.com. From refining small site components to completely re-architecting Classmates.com fundamental structure, the Information Architect is an influential member of the team that shapes how members interact with one of the Internet’s pioneering social software websites. Be the person responsible for championing user research, defining user requirements, designing interaction flow, liaising with developers and scripting usability testing to create easy to use and engaging user experiences, while supporting Classmates.com’s overarching goals. The Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of web experience, including 3 to 5 years in the field as an Information Architect.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of human factors, heuristics, HCI and user interface design principles for interactive media
• User-focused interaction design skills
• Skilled at finding and solving usability issues through expert evaluation and user testing
• Understanding of the key issues of designing interactions for sales-driven web sites
• Familiarity with a range of appropriate software tools such as Photoshop, Flash, HTML, Visio and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with creating IA deliverables such as flow diagrams, site maps, wireframes and functional specification documents
• Work within a team environment
• Strong writing skills for creating user interface specifications
• Strong grounding in technology issues, especially relational databases
• Bachelors Degree
