The engineering team is responsible for backend server development, including the use and customization of content management software (CMS) systems, wikis, blogs, Ajax, and other Web 2.0 technologies.
Software developers will work primarily in Java, but experience or exposure to the Microsoft .Net environment and languages (C#) is a definite plus! The work will entail both custom development and the development of extensions to open source Java products commonly used in the Java web development environment.
Required Experience:
• MUST have 2+ years professional backend software programming experience
• Strong working knowledge of the Java programming language
• APIs that comprise J2EE
• at least one SQL database
• Development of HTML, including related technologies such as XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• At least one application server such as Tomcat, WebLogix, WebSphere, JBOSS, etc.
• XML, including at least one of the common programming APIs used to manipulate XML.
