HUGE is currently seeking a motivated, hands-on web developer to join the HUGE development group. Developers are responsible for designing, building, testing, debugging and troubleshooting web applications and scripts in a fast-paced environment. They work with our account teams, interaction designers and graphic designers, to create interactive solutions.
Required experience:
- 3+ years experience in development; 2+ years experience in web application development
- Expert hands-on knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX, DHTML
- Experience with jQuery and YUI frameworks
- Hands on knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS as well as other web development/production tools
- Working knowledge of JSP
- Strong working knowledge developing cross platform/browser compatibility (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.) for dynamic web applications
- Familiarity with and adherence to web standards
- Object-oriented programming
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people
- Must be self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
- Must be able to take initiative to be productive and efficient.
- Must be able to function independently and still work well in a
- "team oriented" environment.
Nice to Have (but not mandatory):
- Experience with ActionScript 2/3
- Experience with Flex 2/3
- Flash-Javascript communication
- Experience with one or more server-side technologies (i.e.
- Apache, UNIX, PHP, .NET, Java etc)
- Experience working with back-end engineering teams on large development projects
- Knowledge of Java development processes
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Experience writing technical specifications
- Experience with team development using tools like Subversion, Confluence and Jira
