HomeAway is seeking a very strong Java developer to help build out a new enterprise-wide platform to support the launch of EscapeHomes, a business recently purchased by HomeAway and focused on the second home real estate market. This is a unique opportunity to help define a major global initiative and make an impact while partnering with our team of leading technologists and marketers.
The architecture, primarily based on an open source Java stack, will be made up of leading technologies to include Capistrano, Team City, Maven, Spring, Spring MVC, Site Mesh, Resin, Gears, Emma, JUnit, JMock, Atom, RelaxNG, XML and REST based webservices – experience of some of these, although not necessary all, would be beneficial.
Our Java development team in Austin is building a new and exciting product for global rollout – focusing mainly on next generation web applications for the thousands of property owners around the world who advertise on our market-leading listing sites.
We operate on a short Agile sprint cycle and things change fast – so there’s a lot of variety in the work. And you won’t just be coding our products, you’ll also be working closely with the product owners, designers and experienced technical architects to be a big part of producing top quality web software.
