PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring that Group project commitments are fully identified, resourced, tracked, and met in a timely manner
Working with Project, Sales and Product teams on any sales proposals that may require project management skills and project engineer resources
The timely delivery of products and guaranteeing that the Group’s Test and Service commitments are met
Ensuring that recommended hardware platforms and product configurations on Softel’s back office system are up to date and able to be built
Ensuring that the high quality delivery of Softel Group products is attained at all times and is in line with current legislation and company policy
Providing technical sign-off for the Sales department on any non standard product configurations and system proposals
Day to Day management of the Operations department, including financial and performance reviews and target setting
WHAT DO WE WANT?
Previous experience within a technical business or the broadcast industry
Proven experience of operations management in a senior capacity, including the effective and efficient management of departmental resources
The ability to oversee the management of errant projects, and to bring them back on track though the effective project management of resources (in co-operation with the Head of Products)
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
The willingness to travel to customer sites as necessary (overall international travel estimated at one two day trip six times a year)
