We’ve designed outside.in to be the best resource online for keeping up with news and opinions in your neighborhood, finding out the inside scoop on local places or events and meeting interesting new neighbors, and sharing your local knowledge with them.
We are venture backed and are enjoying a period of major growth. The team is small and highly talented. We are currently looking to add a high quality candidate to our design team to help us achieve our growth plans.
We are looking for the following skill set:
* Can write valid XHTML
* Able to cleanly separate design logic from semantic structure using CSS
* Able to work from a Photoshop comp and create pixel-perfect HTML
* DOM Scripting, Javascript event handling
* Knowledge of Javascript frameworks, especially Prototype and Scriptaculous
* Familiarity with Firebug a plus
* Ability to make designs cross-browser compatible
* Enough understanding of programming to be able to load a Rails environment on your computer and code the design from it
