Freewebs is looking for a Web Designer to help the Creative Team develop usable and intuitive designs for Freewebs.com. This position works work closely with other designers, programmers and developers to conceptualize and implement designs for web app user interfaces, web properties, templates and more. In addition to a sharp eye for visual design, the ideal candidate has a passion for usability and information architecture combined with the ability to balance utility and aesthetics.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize new user interface designs with wireframes and mockups
- Collaborate with Marketing, Engineering and Product teams to develop rich user experiences
- Create and maintain an easy-to-use information architecture
- Coordinate front-end implementation with developers
- Ensure brand and style consistency across all communication platforms
- Stay on top of the latest design trends and industry news
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience with web design, user interface design, usability and/or information architecture
- Proficient with Photoshop & Illustrator and familiar with HTML/CSS
- Desire to learn new skills and able to tackle new challenges on a daily basis
- Excellent communication skills, interested and accustomed to working with others
- A self-starter who is accustomed to setting and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
