We are a Chicago-based technology/Internet company with a unique technological web-platform in the consumer services and products entertainment arena. We are seeking a “top-of-the-top” Java Programming Purist to join our team in a highly specialized / yet broad development role.
The Senior Java Developer is responsible for application development, testing, and integration and / or migration procedures, and will be comfortable with all aspects of the software lifecycle with a concentration on back-end (with front-end) experience, is well-versed in java development designing transaction engines, and is able to take a leadership role in project execution.
The Position Primary Responsibilities include:
Architecture/design: must have a deep technical understanding and spent a majority of their time in a coding role.
Analysis: will work with cross functional teams to help define best business practices and suggest solutions that improve processes.
Initiative/Ownership: must be self-motivated, work in an agile environment to see task completion against time and/or unforeseen challenges.
Communication: interact with internal business units to gather requirements for new features and products. Also gather feedback for existing features and products as to their effectiveness and improvement.
Team leadership: must have some leadership experience, focused on successful and on-time project delivery.
Mentor: be a resource for helping other team members and providing guidance
Development methodology: ability to adapt best practices of various methodologies to apply as appropriate to meet the business, user and development needs with the objective of being goal and results driven.
MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Graduate degree
= 6+ years of core java development experience
= object oriented programming
= extensive use of design patterns
= SOA
= ability to conceptualize and design secure,
Dynamic and scalable systems.
= experience with injection dependency
= database application development using Oracle/MySql
