FineLine Prototyping is seeking a full-time Web Applications Developer. We’re a small company, but we’ve already established a top-notch reputation in our industry by providing superior quality prototypes and exceptional customer service.
We have developed and deployed internal web applications to streamline our quoting and shipping processes, but we have more to do. We are looking for someone to help us expand our applications into our other production processes, and develop tools and applications for our public-facing web site that add value for our customers. We need not only your programming expertise, but your ability to understand our workflow and customers to create architecture that will become foundational to our company’s success.

We believe that doing the right thing is not only morally correct, but ultimately good for business. We take our work seriously, and ourselves, not so much. We believe in the value of simple, elegant solutions to complex problems (however, we know that simple does not mean easy). Time to think, plan and design is critical to the success of any project, particularly software.
Current Development Environment:
Our current applications are based on PHP with a MySQL backend. Internally, we use Firefox exclusively for the frontend. We also make extensive use of Ajax to help create a user-friendly interface. In addition, because many of our applications need to read and interpret 3-Dimensional CAD data, some familiarity with manipulation of geometric data is helpful.
