Job Description: eshots, Inc. is experiencing rapid growth and seeking talented web and application developers with entrepreneurial flair. The web and desktop developer roles will be responsible for:
- Enhancing our web products and creating “event micro-sites” for our Fortune 500 clients’ events.
- Working with the production team to assist in implementing the technical aspects of the eshots solutions for our clients’ events.
- Developing and enhancing the Eshots Data capture products

As a key member on the team, you will use your development experience to build on our technology leadership by working on products in our Event Lifecycle Suite.
We are seeking individuals who have experience in developing data driven web sites and applications and are looking for a new challenge at a smaller, rapidly growing company where they can have a strong and immediate impact. You will be a key asset on our team and in taking eshots to the next level.
Responsibilities:
Web Developer
- Work under the direction of the Production Manager and Development Manager.
- Develop solutions primarily using Coldfusion and Flash on Apache/Linux/MySQL stack.
- Responsible for confirming requirements, developing and testing client websites, and managing product deliverables to targeted release dates.
- Assist in creating ad-hoc reports and data transfer processes for our clients.
- Contribute creative ideas to the R&D team to improve eshots product suite.
- Perform rotating technical support role once every 4-5 weeks, which requires answering client calls during technical support hours (including weekends).
- Occasional travel to assist at events.
Application Developer
- Work under the direction of the Development Manager.
- Enhance new and existing components of our Tablet PC based photo marketing and data capture products.
- Move our C/C++ based applications to a new platform (C#/Silveright, Flex/Air, etc.)
- Convert ColdFusion based applications to a new N-tier platform.
- Confirm requirements, develop, and unit test product deliverables to targeted release dates.
- Participate in the implementation of a new BI reporting solution
- Create ad-hoc reports and data transfer processes for clients.
- Contribute creative ideas to the R&D team to improve the eshots product suite.
- Perform rotating technical support role once every 4-5 weeks, which requires answering client calls during technical support hours (including weekends).
- Travel occasionally to assist at events.
Requirements
- Passionate, client-focused, proactive self-finisher will ensure a successful fit in the eshots culture
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
- Experience in web development and writing SQL queries (Coldfusion and MySQL a plus)
- Above average skills in core web technologies like HTML, XML, AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, and DHTML
- Above average SQL knowledge is a significant plus
- Experience within a Microsoft Development Environment using VB and Visual C++
- Experience with next generation rich UI technologies, such as .Net/Silverlight, Flex/Air, etc.
- Flex, Flash, .NET, and Java development experience a plus
- Familiarity with Open Source software
- A strong grounding in object-oriented design and development techniques
- Results oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working and learning new technologies on the job
- Ability to multi-task on various projects at the same time
- Good combination of technical and interpersonal skills
- Business Intelligence application experience a plus
