Seeking a Full Time Internet Project Manager
The Internet Project Manager will be responsible for implementing new web development projects and managing the daily standard operating procedures for emPivot.com. This position will join our growing team and interface with local and remote development teams while also assisting with the day-to-day operations of the emPivot.com web environment.
Responsibilities
• Manage project timelines, coordinate team tasks, and work with team to meet deliverable deadlines.
• Oversee the implementation of new site functionality with local and remote teams.
• Carryout standard operating procedures for website while also developing new procedures.
• On an on going basis, define user interface requirements, including user cases, user stories, page flows, wireframes, and website copy that communicates and achieves product goals.
• Work with web designers and front-end developers to ensure that graphic design and interaction is consistent with user interface requirements and usability best practices.
• Lead meetings with development teams, application developers, designers, and other consultants to coordinate the long-term objectives of the web environment.
• Report directly to founders of emPivot.com.
Required Experience and Education
• Undergraduate degree and at least three years experience as a project manager, user experience manager, interaction designer, information architect, web product manager, or similar role.
• Website production skills including: graphic design productions, HTML coding, project management tools, and content management system applications.
• Proven ability to interface with partners, clients and other key stakeholders.
• Strong organization skills with an attention to detail.
• Excellent people skills and an excitement to work in a creative team environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills
• Knowledge and experience with HTML and a variety of database and web development languages including but not limited to, PHP/MYSQL, AJAX, C+, Drupal, and Ruby on Rails.
• Comprehension of Flash development and Flash video technology trends.
• Proficient in MS Office, Macromedia, understanding of video encoding, video/audio software applications for the web.
• Experience with or demonstrated comprehension of web standards.
• Experience or demonstrated comprehension of web 2.0 applications, API development strategy, and search applications.
• Direct experience with on-line video, web 2.0/social networking websites, and/or experience using web applications for campaign and cause-related media initiatives are all attractive pluses for this position.
