Education Marketing Manager, Consumer products, is responsible for working directly with Universities and students to spread Opera and the importance of open standards throughout Universities. We are seeking a passionate, creative and brave individual who explores and implements innovative ways of reaching University students around the world.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- This position reports to the Director of Marketing
- Curriculum Program – working with Opera’s Developer Relations team, work to develop and promote a curriculum for University students
- Open Standards Days – plan, organize, and promote student gatherings where Opera engineers can engage in an open dialog with students about web development and open standards.
- Intern Programs – develop an internship program for each country in which Opera has an office. Ensure students receive credit for these internships by working to get these internships certified with sponsoring Universities.
- MBA Program Outreach – work with MBA and marketing programs to develop special projects for class credit
- Career Centers – work directly with Career Centers to keep up to date information on Opera’s current open positions.
- Contests – developing, marketing, and driving contests such as skin design contests, widget development contests, and more both within Universities, and between multiple Universities.
- Student Groups – developing and fostering student groups who are excited about Opera and the use of open web standards.

Requirements:
- English required, multiple languages are highly encouraged
- Must be able to travel 25% of the time
- Proven ability to champion and influence cross-functional teams in different locations without formal authority
- Good understanding of web technologies and mobile web
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Demonstrated success in launching new marketing programs
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Education Marketing
