Responsibilities:
• Lead the design concept development, design ideation, and detailed specification of visual designs for user interfaces of the future and existing innovations and prototypes.
• Communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user centered design process.
• Produce design specifications, storyboards, scenarios, design prototypes.
•Create visual designs and user Interface design that address business,brand, market, and user requirements, including design and production of screen layouts, color palettes, typography, and interface elements.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Content Editors, Marketing and Advertising departments, and management to refine the user experience.
• Work with web developers to deliver the final product.
Required Qualifications:
• Education and experience:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Graphic Design,Information Design, Digital Media Design or other visual arts.
•Creative skills: looking for strong design skills including screen layouts, information design, and typography, and must have understanding of user-centered design principles and a great eye for detail. Able to develop new approaches to complex design problems and can convey ideas into tangible form. We require a portfolio to be submitted with your application.
• Communication skills: Candidates must able to collaborate effectively with others in a cross-functional team, and be able to rationalize and present their design ideas and decisions effectively.Must be able to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Technical skills: Must be fluent in PhotoShop, Illustrator,Flash, or similar graphics / user interface design team software. Must have solid grasp of graphic and web design principles and good understanding of current web technologies (X)HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• Good listener, ability to listen keenly and adapt ideas, coming up with multiple concepts and clearly articulating the trade offs of each concept and getting buy-in from all participants.
•Excellent delivery and execution skills, must deliver prototypes, final mock-ups in a timely manner and resolve dependencies and conflicts.
