Description
The Front-end Web Developer will be responsible for using CSS and XHTML to translate module designs for the content delivery system into clean and attractive web pages. The individual will need to help management turn their vision into live sites, suggest improvements and work with the rest of the team to prioritize aspects of the project. Management is focused on finding a driven, output focused, and enthusiastic individual who can quickly become a valuable member of our rapidly growing team.
Responsibilities
- Under minimal direction, design and implement multiple web pages and product modules
- Focus on output. Output, output, output. In a highly dynamic environment such as ours, a focus on delivering quickly and effectively is critical
- Interact with management to transfer overall product vision into working pages, while being willing to interject your own opinion
- Work closely with a full time product architect to ensure that design and backend development integrate seamlessly
- Work effectively and independently on multiple complex activities and projects
- Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting with an eye for product improvements
- Commit to working 50+ hours a week based on schedule and team needs
Requirements
- A great developer willing to work in a start-up environment: agile, dynamic, fast, non-hierarchical, and exciting

- Ability to work full-time, on-site in Atlanta Georgia
Technical experience
- Working with table-less layouts, XHTML 1.1 transitional, and CSS
- Working with CSS inside of an MVC application
- Creating and using JavaScript, AJAX, XML, and DOM
- Detailed knowledge of W3C web standards and cross-browser compatibility issues
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
Nice to have
- Experience working in a Ruby development environment (Rails or Merb) with embedded Ruby (ERB)
- Desire to develop a skill set using Ruby on Rails
- Knowledge of source code management/version control systems and how to utilize them to mange development (specifically svn, git, or mercurial)
- Significant experience with Mac or Linux working environment
- Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
