Help us develop our on-demand applications for financial markets.
What we do:
* We develop and operate web-based applications using open-source technology for top-tier brokers, investment managers, and the alternative investment sector. Our current applications include the Trade Idea Monitor, the Trade Ideas Repository and Distribution Centre, and the Hedge Fund Information Provider.
* Our applications are dynamic and mathematically complex. They need to be ultra-secure and high-speed, and yet easily accessible to our global client base.
* Our applications address the finance industry\u2019s leading-edge business and regulatory requirements. They are transforming the industry landscape in the sectors where we compete.
* We use and contribute to open source technologies such as Apache Tomcat, Hibernate, and MySQL.
* We use agile development techniques and tools such as test-driven development, pair programming, and continuous integration, adapting these to our needs as necessary at regularly held retrospectives involving developers, operators, support staff, and senior product owners.
* Our developers work interactively with our customers and with our internal business analysts.
* We have an active research programme focussed on improving and expanding our core technology.
* We expect our developers to develop rapidly, deploy new code regularly, test constantly, and help us continuously to improve our development processes.

What you do:
Complete new features and bug fixes to schedule. This includes design and unit testing of each new feature or change.
Assist either in business analysis or in architectural design (choosing tools, selecting design patterns, refactoring).

What we pay you:
The remuneration for this role depends on your ability and level of experience. We offer a broad range of benefits to all employees including private healthcare, pension up to 8% of salary, and a bonus representing a profit share distributed to all staff.
Where we are:
The centre of London, England. If you have the right to work here, that’s best for all concerned; but we are willing to sponsor work-permit applications for outstanding applicants who live outside the EU and want to move to London. The job will be located at our City offices, near several stations and underground stations including Liverpool Street, Bank, and Moorgate.

Your experience:
You should have at least three years’ coding experience. Java is a strong advantage, but we will consider developers who demonstrate exceptional talent in other languages. An interest in finance helps!
