Designer/Graphic Artist at National Instruments in Austin, TX

National Instruments, a leader in computer-based measurement and automation, is seeking an experienced Graphic Designer for its LabVIEW Research and Development Group to assist in the creation of skins and icons for new software.

Responsibilities: Collaborate with software development group to design aesthetically pleasing skins and icons. Create design mock-ups, allow sufficient feedback and revise. Produce optimized images, icons and themes for integration. Ability to create mood boards, concepts drawings, texture and color studies.

Requirements: Assoc. or BA/BS in Visual Communication, Web Design, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Commercial Art or related field. Thorough understanding and experience with software development processes. Minimum of 5 years experience designing skins and icons for consumer-oriented websites and applications. Expert in the standard visual design packages, such as Adobe Creative Suite. Understanding of technology limitations that influence graphic design decisions. Experience with WPF, Silverlight and Flash is a plus. National Instruments offers an excellent compensation and benefits package and good working environment.
