Well funded UK-based (London) start-up is seeking an innovative tech lead/architect to build next generation global education/careers vocational network and search engine. Great opportunity for someone with entrepreneurial spirit, who is able to take command of a situation and run with it. You live and breathe Web 2.0, search, consumer generated content, social networking, management/communications portals, and innovative thinking.
The ideal candidate will be able to juggle multiple tasks effortlessly, including tech strategy, interactive program/project management, application design/requirements, programming with a good eye for databases, information architecture, usability and design. This person will also be responsible for initially managing outsourced development agency but will quickly build/manage small in-house development/design team.
Key Requirements Include:
3+ years of technical management experience
5+ years of Java/Mysql
Technologies: JSP 2.0, JAVA 5, JDBC, Oscache, Axis integrator, Ajax
Server: RH Enterprise Linux, Apache Websever 2.0, Tomcat, Mysql, Red 5/FFmpeg converter
Strong interest in social networks, widgets, online applications (Facebook, iGoogle, Firefox, etc)
Proven team player with natural leadership abilities
