The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, designing and improving our database structure and will be working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, fun and entrepreneurial environment.
• Work directly with development team to ensure optimal query & table design
• Plan & implement improvements to existing database schema
• Provide support to tech dept - database troubleshooting
• Analyzing & tuning our Database system
• Ensure 24/7 availability of database system
• Expert in high performance SQL, especially as it pertains to MySQL’s language subset
• Strong understanding of MySQL hardware level interactions
• Expert in database design- high traffic
• Proficiency in replication/clustering technologies
• BS Degree in CS or similar
• 5-7+ yrs IT exper
• Current experience as a DBA (2+ years)
• 2+ years exper programming, maintaining &tuning MySQL in a high transaction clustered or replicated environment.
• MySQL cert a plus
