Web Designer:
Creative team for large online community is looking to hire a full-time Web Designer who is local to Hollywood, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Brainstorm, plan, and design web pages for all areas of our website (you will be responsible for mocking up sketches/ideas and helping turn them from concept to reality)
- Work closely with the members of the IT team to design and implement new features
- Collaborate with designers, members of IT, and other resources to refine the user experience
- Continual refinement of the site using UI design
- Report regularly to provide updates on status of work
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in graphic design or related field, and/or minimum three years professional experience (all applicants must be 18 years of age or older)
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other industry-standard computer graphics software
- Great visual design and UI skills for layout and knowledge of web usability
- Strong typographic, color, and layout skills
- Extensive experience with HTML and CSS
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, Ajax, PHP, and XHTML a plus
- E-commerce and retail design experience a plus
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates solid skills
- Open to working in a fun, laid-back environment

- Exceptional verbal and written communicator
- Excellent organizational skills and keen eye for detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must be creative, self-motivated, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Willing to share ideas, yet also be receptive to questions and suggestions
- Must be proactive in working with others
