We are a promising new start-up, the brainchild of an experienced team of proven European internet entrepreneurs. Think of it as “web 2.0 for grown-ups”, with a clear-cut value proposition for a defined professional target segment. Based on the strength of our concept, our global vision and a compelling business model, we are just closing a multi-million pound Series A financing round.
We are now looking for You, our Chief Architect and Technical Lead who will help us turn our vision into reality. You will be responsible for all technical aspects in the company, incl. architecture, design and code-level development of our website, databases and internal systems. Your role will entail database and application architecture, software and technology selection, project scoping and planning, programming, and attracting and integrating further high-class candidates for the technology team. You will be expected to stay up-to-date on current developments in web-oriented software, development technology / methodologies, and open-source tools and resources. You must be a highly motivated self-starter happy to roll up your sleeves, enjoy the buzz (and chaos) of a start-up environment, and be comfortable working to the tight deadlines and high expectations of a technically challenging, revenue-oriented, VC-funded company run by seasoned entrepreneurs.

Our Offer to You
If the above description fits you, this is what you can expect: you will be joining a promising, VC-funded early-stage company at technical leadership level, with the chance to meaningfully share in the upside this might entail. Depending on your personal preferences, you and your team may be based in our Central London office, or you may set up a Technology Centre in or near Cambridge (full-time, on-site work obviously expected in both cases). Working closely with other members of the management team, you will develop, propose and execute all-important technology decisions for the company, and you will take on responsibility for identifying, attracting and motivating the talent needed to execute the company’s technology strategy.
We are looking for true “alpha candidates” ready to make a 5-plus year career commitment, rather than someone just looking for another job. Your application will be reviewed solely by the company’s founders and will be treated in the utmost confidence.
