Position Description

A dynamic group of high-technology consumer electronics brands is seeking a Web Marketing Manager to drive the continued development of our websites and electronic marketing initiatives. You will be the focal point for the group’s web marketing strategy and execution, and will be the primary architect of the group’s online presence.

As the Web Marketing Manager you will manage our websites, offering a compelling experience for visitors, with a focus on product presentation and ecommerce conversions. You will apply your experience in web design, viral and email marketing, SEO and SEM and web usability as you develop the online face of the brands in our portfolio, employing proven methods to direct traffic and improve demand generation efforts.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Department Management – Manage a core team of web programmers and designers to maintain and develop customer-facing corporate websites.

• Collaboration – Work with cross-functional teams to develop overall web marketing strategies and collateral, including website presentation, multimedia content creation, online advertising initiatives and direct marketing campaigns.

SEO/SEM Implementation – Oversee successful implementation and ongoing development of natural and pay per click search programs.

• Analytics – Monitor website usage, execute split-testing, provide reports and analysis, and drive plans to increase website traffic.

• Dashboard Development – Devise a web marketing dashboard system to communicate site ROI to executive management.

• Intranet Development – Develop and maintain a corporate intranet site for internal communications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or other four-year degree

• Minimum of five (5) years experience within a marketing communications department and/or agency with direct responsibilities related to the position, including creating dynamic database driven websites

• Expertise in web site and content management & development

• Experience using PHP and proficiency with SQL and database design

• Mastery of HTML

• Solid knowledge of CSS

• Solid knowledge of Flash

• Intermediate skill with Photoshop

• Experience with web analytics, Search Engine Optimization, keyword analysis and adword placement

• Solid knowledge of key email marketing metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates.

• Excellent organizational and analytical skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

• Ability to plan work systematically and practically, establish priorities and schedule tasks to utilize oneself, personnel and material cost effectively

• Ability to adapt/respond to unfamiliar tasks and changing needs, priorities, direction and timing. Willingness to accept new approaches and ability to develop options to overcome problems and obstacles.

The ideal candidate must possess outstanding organizational, analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills, be adept at building and maintaining strategic relationships with a diverse group of professionals and be able to communicate concisely and accurately with IT staff and senior management. In addition, he or she must be creative, execution-oriented and results-driven, an innovative thinker with the ability to propose and drive new ideas and concepts. He or she must be able to operate effectively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment, learn new things quickly and drive issues to closure. Although the position will be focused on managing the web site, the Web Marketing Manager will be considered a key marketing team member and will participate in team discussions to help with campaign planning, major marketing programs and creative marketing concepts.
