CollegeWikis has gained excellent traction since launching in April, 07 and is funded by proven, well-respected investors on both coasts. We’re looking for 1) a VP of Engineering/Lead Developer to lead our development team, and 2) a Director of Product.
You should be an A player – ready to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to join a small team and make your product amazing. [note: the product already has traction and so we have to build the product around existing user base]
Specifics:
The VP Engineering/ Lead Developer must have a web development background, working with consumer-facing, high traffic sites and/or social networks. Relevant skills: PHP, MySQL, .NET, Java, AJAX, CSS, Ruby on Rails, etc. We currently use mediawiki (php/mysql), but are doing a full custom redevelopment in Ruby on Rails. Experience with Rails is not necessary.
For Director of Product, it’s important that you’ve led consumer-facing websites before.
