The Cisco Media Solutions Group is a startup group within Cisco. We’re the best of both worlds: working independently and agilely to develop cutting-edge, consumer-facing Web services; but supported by and able to leverage the resources of Cisco—owner of Linksys and Scientific Atlanta, and 2008’s official 6th Best Place to Work.
To prove our hipster cred: we have a Bay view from our San Francisco digs, shiny new Macs, and a Wii in heavy rotation.
Right now we’re building Cisco Eos, a software-as-a-service platform for media and community. It’s a big project with bigger aspirations.
And we could use a hand.
We’re looking for amazing Web Developers. The sites we build have a tremendous and near-equal demand for both usability and style, and we want people who can effect both. Come on down!
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your AJAX/dynamic HTML/JavaScript/CSS skills to build cool pages and features
- Make sure your above-mentioned cool stuff works in more than a single browser
- Take part in design and code reviews
- Analyze and improve efficiency of the front-end platform
- Interface with other teams (Product Management, User Experience) to incorporate their innovations into the product, and vice versa
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in front-end web design and development
- Expert knowledge of HTML, Javascript, CSS, XML
- Hands-on experience with PHP, ideally JSON
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- You are generally pretty chill
