Launched in Boston in 2005, HRMDirect is a leading provider of on-demand recruiting software to a wide range of companies nationwide including Publisher’s Clearing House, Zillow, Dow Jones, ZoomInfo, and just over 100 others. With a small but dedicated team, no debt, and wholly-owned and funded by our founders, HRMDirect offers all the flexibility, excitement, and lack of overhead that makes the startup environment fun to work in, backed up with a stable and successful recurring revenue model delivering consistent 100% year-to-year growth.

We are currently seeking to expand our Boston-based technical team with a strong developer with one or more years of experience using ASP.NET and C#. Working directly with the founders and our technical advisors, this person will refactor existing code, develop new functionality, and participate directly in the design and strategic direction of the product. With additional junior-level hires in this department planned for the next 12 months, we would also appreciate someone with experience, aptitude, and enthusiasm for taking on a leadership role as well as being an individual contributor.

What’s in it for you?
As a pure-play SaaS provider, working at HRMDirect will provide a deep and profound understanding of what it takes to make multi-tenancy systems work from business requirements to low-level implementation. While we don’t implement the latest and greatest technologies just to be the coolest kids on the block, we’re also not burdened by excessive legacy code, infrastructure, or bureaucracy. With an extremely tight decisionmaking process, good ideas can move from the back of napkins to production in very short order.

On a personal level, there’s no “averaging out” here. Everyone owns his or her projects completely (or very close to it) and sinks or swims based on individual ability and engagement. There are no dead-end projects or layers of management to obscure credit or accountability. It’s an environment for overachievers who don’t suffer fools gladly and want to be judged on the basis of their code code, not their dress code or Powerpoint skills.

Most importantly, it’s an opportunity to work closely with a great team that’s young but seasoned and still just as hungry as you are. Whether your goal is to become a CTO or to start your own business, we’ll provide you the runway you need to grow as an individual. And at the end of the day, you’ll have the satisfaction of seeing your work out there in use every day helping hundreds of companies grow more successfully.

The Fine Print
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and will include pre-dilution stock options and a base salary. We’re located just a short walk from South Station and are seeking local candidates only. Flexible hours and work-from-home are part of the culture here as well. Any other questions, please feel free to contact us.

If you’d like to apply, or know someone who might….
Send us your resume or just a brief note about yourself to the email address below (yes, we like the taste of our own dogfood here), and we promise to get back to you quickly. If you know someone, we’ll pay a $1000 referral bonus if we hire a candidate you recommend. Thanks for your interest and we look forward to getting to know you!
