Mediber is a small software startup in the healthcare sector. Our software development team currently consists of three young and highly motivated people. We strive not only to create impressive and elegant new solutions to the problems our customers face, but also to the problems we face in software development itself, and we are having fun while doing it.

Our current solution for medical documentation facilitates machine learning algorithms to speed up the documentation process, an area full of potential and exciting problems waiting for creative and sophisticated solutions.

We are seeking a software developer to help develop our main product, an intelligent clinical documentation system. Using C#(3.5) programming skills and your experience in OO software design you will design and develop server and client code for the first release of the software. You have the opportunity to work on our core machine learning concepts, more or less the brain of our software. This position involves working as part of a cross-functional team to actively contribute to functional requirements, software design and architecture, coding and testing.
Having just received financial backing in the first venture capital round, we are at a critical stage of development and we are offering you the change to make significant contributions to the direction and development of Mediber.
Requirements:
• Excellent command of written and spoken German and good command of written and spoken English or excellent command of written and spoken English and the will to learn and master German
• Top grades or track record of success
• Top of the class programming skills.
• A passion to develop elegant and robust software of the highest quality
• Strong analytical ability
Qualifications:
• Diploma or Masters in CS, maths or other related fields (physics, chemistry…)
• .Net or Java experience
• Experience with SQL and XML
• Proven experience in software development and OO design
• Experience in machine learning algorithms a plus
• Experience with SQLServer 2005 or Oracle a plus
• Experience using webservices/WCF a plus
• Experience with WPF a plus
• Experience with DICOM, HL7 or other healthcare related standards a plus
Our Joel Test Score
Being in the starting stage we don’t get 12 points yet on the Joel Test but we sure strive to reach that goal as soon as possible (The spec is there but still work in progress and the testers will be hired soon).
