BuzzFeed is a New York based startup building an innovative platform for publishing and tracking viral media and online buzz. We are seeking a smart, passionate developer to join our small, but talented team of programmers and UI designers. We deploy weekly to a large user base and seek someone excited by a rapid development environment and being part of an agile team.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with Perl (and/or Python), SQL databases, and version control systems (CVS, Subversion, etc.) The ability to problem-solve, learn, and collaborate in an effective and cordial way is paramount. A familiarity with test driven development, a comfort with AJAX development, and experience using OS X as your development platform are a definite plus, but not required.
