Job Summary:

The BI developer designs, codes, and tests data warehouse, database, business intelligence, analytic, and data integration solutions in support of Business Intelligence Competency Center Activities. The technologies include Java and C++ components for Data Quality and cleansing, web services real-time ETL, JSP customization and creation of BI Dashboards, CRM tools for name and address matching, Oracle PL/SQL coding etc.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to development and refinement of the CIDC corporate BI roadmap.

Design and Development of Integration Hub and Data Warehouse batch and real-time ETL processes.

Development of reusable ETL and Data Quality components and integration of the components into the corporate data integration platform.

Requirements elicitation and analysis leading to artifacts such as Systems Requirements Specifications (SRS), Functional and Performance Test Plans etc.

Design, develop, and document the processes and audit/balancing controls necessary to ensure Sarbaines Oxley compliance for all information delivered from the Data Warehouse.

Design and development, and maintenance of portal and web-based interfaces for master data maintenance and data governance activities.

Experience:

3 + years of Database experience with Oracle 9i or 10g.

5 years experience as applications developer with web servers, Java, Java Script, and Java applet experience.

2 years experience designing and developing web-services.

Technical Skills/Knowledge:

A Bachelors Degree or higher is required

Extensive knowledge of Data Warehouse ETL systems design, data cleansing, and optimization

Highly competent Java and J2EE programming skills

Solid understanding of data warehouses, data marts and ODS methodologies and life cycle as well as the ETL and BI technologies

Expert-level knowledge of Oracle Structured Query Language (SQL).

Demonstrated expertise with XML, XSLT, and XQuery, and SOAP

Demonstrated mastery of technical writing

Ability to conduct design reviews with business and technical leaders to verify design approach, standards compliance, and business functionality

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent documentation writing skills

Proven interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Self starter that is process centric, standards and best practices driven and unafraid of developing from scratch.
