We have an immediate opening for a Senior Designer in our Washington, D.C. office. Our D.C. office has a strong focus on the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors, and has produced award-winning designs for some of the nation’s leading social enterprises.
The Senior Designer will provide creative direction for our client’s web sites and web applications, including size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, style and size of type, and site layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts. The senior designer will be responsible for the transfer of web site design elements from source design files to site code.
The successful candidate for this position will have strong communication skills (oral and written) and customer-ready presentation skills. This position requires minimally a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent with at least 7 years of experience of designing high quality interfaces for web applications. Expert-level competencies in Adobe CS Suite a must. Working knowledge of XHTML/CSS2 capabilities a strong plus.
