Ruby on Rails Developer
Backstop Solutions Group is making a new product, with new technologies…so we need new people like you!
We’re looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails developer to help build a Web 2.0 application that requires a minimum amount of support and upkeep. Development is iterative, fast, and furious. Applicants should expect to have to think on their feet and adapt to evolving project requirements.
If the following sounds like you, we need to talk:
- 4+ Years of software development experience
- Fluidity with both Ruby and Rails
- Solid grasp of meta-programming techniques in Ruby
- Demonstrated appropriate use of design patterns
- Knowledgeable about RESTful Applications
- Experience with Rails deployment/management
- Participate in OSS or Rails communities
- Prefer working on a team to flying solo, and aren’t afraid to talk to users and other non-technical folks
- Ability to subdue objects, bending them to your will
- Fondness for fumes of dry erase markers
