Avid Life Media is seeking a rock-star web designer that will be working with a proven entrepreneurial team to build out the user interface/user experience for a innovative new dating platform. You must have experience in web development and be highly proficient with XHTML/CSS and be highly opinionated when it comes to user experience.
Requirements:
- Extremely proficient in HTML/CSS/Photoshop/Illustrator
- Comprehensive knowledge of front-end functionality (HTML/CSS/JS)
- Basic Javascript knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of AJAX techniques
- Expert knowledge of W3C standards
- Familiarity with browser-based JavaScript
- Rapid-prototyping skills
- Ability to work quickly with little direction
Nice to haves:
- Jquery or Prototype javascript framework experience
- Flash Experience (Flash Media Server a plus)
- Comfortable in Unix environments (Linux, BSD)
- Experience working on projects with source control management (cvs, subversion, git)
- Exposure to PHP, Python, Ruby
