eProoft provides online inventory management systems. We are seeking an Assistant Programmer/Web Developer to interface with the CTO and Senior Developer, define application requirements, and integrate and test new functionality. eProoft offers a flexible and exciting
work environment, and the Assistant Programmer is therefore expected to be able to work with limited supervision and assume a significant level of ownership for projects and systems. At this time we are only seeking candidates in the Austin, Texas area.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor Degree or equivalent years of experience in computer sciences
• Working knowledge of current software security technologies (encryption, authentication, etc.) and their incorporation into online applications
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with LAMP
• Familiarity with Red Hat-based systems
• High degree of comfort with Linux Operating System
• Previous experience testing newly developed applications
• Ability to work in JavaScript and execute JavaScript debugging
• Experience with Turbo Pascal or Delphi development systems is preferred
• Experience with databases (MySQL/Firebird) and middle-tier application server
architecture
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and an interest in working in a
collaborative team environment
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results, prioritize activities, and to manage time
effectively
