VISI is looking for a web application developer to join our growing team and build internal web applications. This person will have a significant impact on key services provided by the organization.
We use a number of different technologies including Windows Server 2003, IIS6, Microsoft SQL Server, Red Hat Linux, Apache, Mysql, Cold Fusion, PHP, Perl, Javascript, and Subversion. The ideal candidate will have experience with some of these technologies - and the ability to pick up new skills quickly.

Required Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills; making presentations to professional peers, and working closely with management.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and independently.
- A solid understanding of web programming; understands algorithm design and website development best practices, can use performance analysis to tune applications.
- Ability to design relational databases at an intermediate level in Microsoft SQL Server and/or MySQL.
- Ability to program at an intermediate level in one or more of the following languages: Cold Fusion, PHP, or .NET.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003, Linux, AJAX and XML preferred.
Required Background
- At least one year of previous professional web application development or related experience.
Responsibilities
- Designs/maintains large set of internal tools which manage communication and service provisioning.
- Manage application development infrastructure.
- Works under general direction from management.
- Establishes/recommends new technologies and methodologies.
