The Application Developer works closely with other members of the Smart Bear development team to deliver high quality solutions for our peer code review products. The Application Developer candidate must possess strong problem solving and communication skills in addition to having a customer-focused mindset and an understanding of the importance of accountability and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain existing projects: design, new feature implementation, bug-fixing
* Write supportable code: comments, unit tests, integration tests
* Professional interaction with customers by e-mail and over the phone
Requirements:
* 4 yr degree (BS in CS, CIS, MIS, Mathematics, or Engineering)
* Minimum of 2 years development or architect experience in which the largest part of that time has been spent delivering web-based applications
* Minimum of 2 years of proven programming experience with one or more object oriented programming languages (Java, Delphi, C++, etc.)
* Proficient in gathering customer requirements and translating into new products or product features
* Relational Database experience (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
* Client-focused attitude
* Inhuman ability to bend the compiler to your will
* Excellent command of written and spoken English
