Location: New York, NY
Designs and develops great Ruby code in an Agile environment. Projects will include building content management backend systems for one of our flagship websites Travel + Leisure (www.TravelAndLeisure.com). Use RoR with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005. Perform other job related duties.
Required Qualifications: Experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, writing Gems, and Agile are desired. Experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript is fundamental. Knowledge of SQL Server and Coldfusion is a plus. This position requires a wide breath of technical knowledge, strong programming skills and HTML and interaction expertise. The employee must be able to translate business requirements into functional programs. 2+ years of experience in web development and information technology is required. Must be flexible. Publishing industry experience is also a plus.
