We are looking for an Experience Lead to run the research, usability, and interaction design of our projects. This person will work with the creative and information architecture teams internally while championing the user experience ideal to clients and developers. The ideal person is someone who thinks strategically and creatively, who can focus on all project phases from initial research through launch.
The output of this position will ensure a quality user experience that forms a customer’s impression of our clients’ offerings and brings our work to a level of quality that exceeds client and consumer expectations.
Responsibilities:
Work with Ai’s heads of user experience design and strategy to understand end-user needs of a project and create project plans for the UX component,
Work with clients to determine goals and success metrics, then present winning user experience concepts: research, data, and analysis,
Create prototypes, storyboards, mockups and high-level wireframes that identify and communicate usability needs,
Lead information architects in translating business problems into user-focused solutions
Monitor projects from kickoff to launch in an influential, thought-leadership role,
Champion and guide UX ideals; help define usability standards and the user-centered design process
Qualifications:
5+ years in relevant career path covering user experience, IA or interaction design,
Thoroughly immersed in the usability and user experience disciplines,
Possessing a strong portfolio, including ecommerce and UI-focused projects, and can talk to your involvement on each,
A team thinker who can work independently and collaboratively,
Self-motivated, wickedly creative, a good communicator with feverish attention to detail,
The kind of person who gauges CVS against Duane Reade by which one has a single snake checkout queue and not a line behind each register
This is an on-site position at an award-winning company with a passion for smart design and fulfilling user experiences. Ai is located in the Flatiron district of Manhattan, in a bright, cheerful office complete with game room and dog.
